Allied Surveyors Scotland secures Brandon Terrace premises for St Columba’s Hospice
Allied Surveyors Scotland has completed a second property acquisition on behalf of St Columba’s Hospice.
A new 10-year lease has been secured with a private landlord at 14-15 Brandon Terrace in Edinburgh’s Canonmills area for an undisclosed rent.
The latest deal will see the Edinburgh-based charity relocate its highly popular bookshop from nearby Montagu Terrace in Goldenacre.
“Goldenacre has served our client well but this new premises moves them closer to the New Town and the offices and businesses around Canonmills,” said Iain Mercer, director of commercial agency (east) for Allied Surveyors Scotland.
The charity, which supports individuals with life-limiting conditions and their families, currently has 9 shops across Edinburgh and the Lothians. They opened in Haddington in February, their first branch in East Lothian, following a deal agreed by Allied Surveyors Scotland.
“We are delighted to secure our new premises on Brandon Terrace and see it as a valuable addition to our portfolio of shops,” commented Jon Heggie, director of fundraising for St Columba’s Hospice.
“Whilst the bookshop will transfer to Brandon Terrace, we expect to continue trading from our Goldenacre branch during a short period of transition.”
