A Busy Summer in the Northern Agency Department
With summer drawing to a close, the agency department of Allied Surveyors Scotland’s Inverness office is reflecting on what has been a busy period with a number of transactions concluding throughout the area. Here are a few examples:
Achvarasdal House, Reay, Caithness – Allied Surveyors were acting on behalf of Crossreach & Church of Scotland. This 28 bedroom former care home occupying a site of 13 Hectares was sold for £210,000.
Unit 2, Cromwell Buildings Lotland Street, Inverness – This industrial unit has been sucessfully let on a new 5 year lease to the Inverness Coffee Roasting Company.
147 High Street, Elgin – In conjunction with our joint agents FG Burnett, this unit has been let to national operator Brighthouse who move from premises within Elgin into this town centre retail unit.
Unit 3, 57 Harbour Road, Inverness – This industrial unit was let following a period of just 2 weeks on the market to a local equestrian equipment supplier.
77 Church Street, Inverness – This first floor city centre office suite was sold to a local investor amid interest from a number of parties.
Director Andy Gray, who heads up the commercial property department for the north of the country, commented “we are delighted to have secured these 5 transactions over the summer months and we have recently put another 2 properties under offer, including a city centre retail unit which had only been on the market since May. This is certainly very positive in these uncertain times.”
“It is really encouraging to see continual take up of commercial property in the Highlands and Moray and the range of different properties we have disposed of on both freehold and leasehold basis to a mixture of local and national occupiers really does highlight the variety of occupiers who are active in the market at the current time.”
“We have just brought the former Salvation Army Hall in Kinlochleven to the market for sale this week and are working on a number of other potential instructions throughout the region which should come live within the next month. “
It certainly is, on the up, up north!
