Mercer’s Marathon Effort

Our director of commercial agency (east), Iain Mercer, is getting ready to be on the start line of next month’s Manchester marathon. 

He will be one of 35,000 other runners taking part on Sunday 10th October in the UK’s second biggest marathon event.

Iain is running in memory of his dad who passed away 15 years ago last January. 

“I have run mainly half marathons in various UK cities and try to do a couple of those each year, but this will only be my second full marathon,” he commented.

“At the end of the last one (Edinburgh in 2010) it was definitely a case of never again! But, I well and truly have the running bug and in the end the reason I am doing it is never far away from my thoughts.”

Iain has set up a Just Giving page for Cancer Research UK and any donations to help him reach his fundraising target will be gratefully received.
