Donald Murray

Donald is the Director of our Aberdeen office and has over 45 years of experience in the surveying profession. He was born and brought up on the south side of Glasgow but retains a strong connection to the Isle of Lewis, having Gaelic as his first language.

Donald started his career in 1978 with a well-established firm of Chartered surveyors, training in general practice work in their Glasgow and Helensburgh offices. He qualified in 1983 and moved to a national company carrying out mainly residential work in Glasgow and the west of Scotland.

Donald relocated to Aberdeen in 1988 and has been based there ever since, mostly engaged in residential surveying work. He has been part of Allied Surveyors Scotland since its inception in 1998 and currently sits on the Allied Board of Management, as well as running Allied Surveyors in Aberdeen. In addition to preparing Home Reports, he also provides general surveying advice to clients in the Northeast and further afield where appropriate.

Donald is married, has two stepchildren, and has four grandchildren. He likes most sports and is reasonably proficient in some.
