Grant Robertson

Grant Robertson
Chairman | FRICS
Allied Surveyors Head Office
Herbert House
Glasgow
G20 6NB

Grant has just celebrated his 40th year in surveying having started as a surveying apprentice in 1983 and completing the RICS Professional exams as a direct entrant.  Grant has sat as a Director on the Board of Allied Surveyors since its inception and has served as Chairman for the last 14 years.  Whilst Grant’s particular specialisms are found in the valuation of land and buildings for development and the valuation of residential property portfolios, he continues to find excitement and enjoyment in carrying out Home Reports in the Greater Glasgow area together with valuing high-value residential properties across Scotland. In addition to his duties as Chairman of Allied Surveyors, Grant also holds board positions in several other property companies.

Grant lives on the outskirts of Glasgow and is married to Gillian with 2 grown-up children.  When not at work or with family, Grant enjoys walking and golfing (not mutually exclusive), as well as watching others participate in rugby and football.  Despite his longevity in business, Grant is still only in his 50s and takes particular enjoyment in working with recent Undergraduates and Graduates entering the surveying profession.  Grant sat as Chairman of the Board of the Residential Property Group for RICS for many years and has recently been instrumental in resurrecting that group with regard to the forthcoming Home Report Review.
