Celebrating Success – Andy McCall RICS named Matrics Surveyor of the Year in the Valuation category.
Allied Surveyors Scotland is delighted to announce that Andy McCall MRICS has been crowned as RICS Matrics Surveyor of the Year in the Valuation category.
The prestigious accolade was collected at the recent RICS Matrics Awards night held at The Grand Connaught Rooms in London’s West End. RICS Matrics is the early career community of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) for students, trainees and newly qualified professionals. The ceremony was attended by surveyors from across the UK with categories covering areas such as commercial property, building surveying, residential surveying and construction surveying.
We are immensely proud of Andy’s achievement – a true testament to his hard work, dedication, and the fact that he is an all-round great person to work with and a real asset to our team. Recently, we caught up with Andy, who shared:
‘Two weeks ago, I had the privilege of attending the RICS Matrics Awards night at the Royal Connaught Rooms in London after being nominated for the Matrics Valuation Surveyor Award.
It was a great evening of networking, filled with laughter and the opportunity to meet and hear from so many worthy nominees. The evening was topped off when my name was announced as the winner within the valuation category. This was a moment of real pride for myself and a chance to reflect upon what has been a great few years of learning and growing as a surveyor and individual since becoming qualified. I’d like to give a massive thanks to all my colleagues that I have connected with across the industry who have supported me during my time in surveying. Lastly, a massive thanks to all my colleagues at Allied Surveyors Scotland, who none of this would have been possible without, for their continued guidance and support.’
Andy had a fantastic night in London, joined by colleagues Gavin Smith and Eoin MacDonald. His nomination was crafted by our Director of Operations, Kevin Keane FRICS, who won the same award in 2021. Kevin commented:
‘Allied is full of great people, and working closely with Andy over the past couple of years has been a real privilege. His commitment to our #NextGen and Allied Academy initiatives stands out – he consistently goes out of his way to share his expertise and support others. The feedback from his clients was exceptional, reinforcing just how highly he is regarded. Andy has also spent time on the Glasgow Matrics committee, networking with professionals across Glasgow and the West, volunteering his time to new entrant and organising charity and CPD events. A huge congratulations to Andy – helping nurture the next generation of surveyors is central to my role, and he sets an outstanding example.’
Eoin MacDonald, Director of the Glasgow North office added:
We had a great night accompanying Andy to the RICS Matrics Awards. The field of nominees was very strong across all categories, and we were delighted when Andy was announced as the winner of Valuation Surveyor of the Year.
This award reflects Andy’s passion and commitment to surveying and provides some recognition for the impactful events and projects undertaken out with the day job.
Andy, a massive Congratulations – a well-deserved accolade
