Gavin Smith

Gavin joined Allied Surveyors in 2015, following Allied’s merger with long-established firm Murray and Muir. Initially working from the Glasgow North office before moving to Bearsden, where he is a Director and heads up the Bearsden office serving Bearsden, Milngavie and the surrounding areas from Clydebank to Drymen and Bishopbriggs.

Allied’s Bearsden office was founded in 1965, and the firm has operated in the area continuously since. Gavin qualified as a member of RICS in 2013 and reports to all major lending institutions as well as reporting for clients (private, legal and accountancy) on a broad range of issues affecting residential and development property.

On a day-to-day basis, Gavin carries out all variations of Residential valuation, including Home Reports, Market Appraisals, and Divorce Valuations.

Gavin enjoys training new recruits and graduates, putting them through their paces until they sit their Chartered exams. Gavin also sits on the Board of Management for Allied Surveyors.

Gavin is married and with a young family and tries to find time away from the desk to play golf. Failing which, as he is a fair-weather golfer, he enjoys spending time with friends attending football and rugby matches.
